Shall we Elope?

Planning a wedding can be very stressful. A beautiful moment in time can take months, and sometimes even a year to put together. Whether with an intimate few, or a whole crowd of friends and family, wedding celebrations are a big deal to put together.

Recently, I’ve seen more elopements than I have in the past. The planner, type A in me only wants to run at the thought of this, although I did suggest a “surprise wedding” to my husband back when we were planning. Thinking of all the ways even elopements have changed make me second guess the idea of running away to say “I do”.

Elopements still deserve to be recognized, even if it’s only a bride and a groom professing their love in front of their one witness and officiant. There are different ways to an invitation into your elopement that can be meaningful, unique and even a keepsake to treasure after the day of.

Here are just some ways you can still use invitations for your elopement

  1. Announcement

You can create an elopement piece to announce your engagement to your loved ones and families. It will be a pleasant surprise for those cheering you on in love.

2. Post Elopement Celebration

If you’re planning on having a post elopement celebration, an elopement invitation can provide those details. Your loved ones will be thrilled they still part of the celebration and part of your love story.

3. Keepsake

If your “I do” ceremony guests are only your officiant and witness, your wedding invitation designer can create a keepsake invitation suite just for you. You’ll be able to add any special details and elements that are special to you and your spouse.

4. Souvenir for Distant Loved Ones

For those close friends or family members who live afar and couldn’t be part of any post-elopement celebrations, sending them a tangible piece like an invitation can be a heartfelt gesture. It allows them to hold onto a piece of your special day, even from miles away.

Elopements, though intimate and private, are full of deep emotions and personal tales. Your elopement  invitations can serve as the window, offering glimpses into your journey while involving those you cherish. Whether it’s a keepsake for you or a heartfelt gesture to loved ones, the significance of an elopement invitation is boundless. Don’t skip this step; embrace it and let it amplify the beauty of your union.
